Students

Students in need would be adequately provided with the following services offered by the MOE:

·       Meals

·       Text books

·       Transport

·       Laptops/ICT Devises(Secondary

·       CAC Resources

·       SBA Materials

·       Library Services

 

 

 

 

All students will be exposed to information and opportunities towards the development of their Academic and Career Goals. Issues impeding positive personal/social development will effectively be addressed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Students will feel a sense of pride and privileged to be associated to the Ste. Madeleine Secondary School, to build and Ethos of Persistence and Commitment

A Means Test/Needs Assessment will be conducted, subsequently followed by an interview by an identified Committee. Information pertaining to the socio-economic status of the Student’s personal environment will be used to determine their immediate needs. This tool would also inform the intervention needed by the SSSD

 

The existing referral process will be used to identify the need at an individual and Family level. Individual Intervention Plans will be devised on a per individual basis. This Plan will take into consideration both the presenting and underlying issues affecting the whole child. Classroom or group guidance will be developed from the execution of a school climate survey.

 

The Establishment of an active and involve Student Council. Allowing students to contribute to the School’s Vision, Mission and the development of the School’s rules and activities that contribute to the School’s Ethos.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services will be provided on a per-needs basis as guided by the provision of MOE determination of Means Test/Beneficiary Selection.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The entire student population will equally be exposed to developmental information pertaining to their Academic and  Career path, and Personal and Social Development

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Students would have acquired intrinsic values of, but not limited to persistence, dedication and team work.

In-house monitoring will be conducted by an assigned Committee, form Teachers or the responsibility assigned to the Prefect System. This will simplify the use of an identified List or Register system re: Meals and Transportation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Standard procedure or policy document to be identified by the Supervisory Team of the SSSD. However tailored by Residential SSSD staff to the Cultural relevance of the School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The increase in school based extracurricular activities and students involvement in.
